Hello I'm Heather.

Thank you for your interest in my art.

I'm a retired dental Hygienist that found art after experiencing a heart attack and a stroke at the age of 46. It helped me cope while I dealt with the stigma and trauma of having a heart attack/stroke in the prime of my life. I've had to learn to slow down and not take things too seriously.
My paintings reflect emotions, usually from my childhood. I remember using books and my imagination as a child to escape to my safe place in my head, away from the horrid things I saw, experienced as a child. Things that I had put to the back of my mind but the trauma of my health scares opened up a can of worms that I'm learning to accept and move on from.

I am currently working on a new body of work that I am hoping to list for sale on here soon.

In 2024 I exhibited at the prestigious Venice Biennale at the Palazzo Bembo in 2024 along with the Proseed Collective.

I have exhibited in various venues around Cumbria.

I have featured in The Global Art Times magazine May 2023.
