“The aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance.” ARISTOTLE.

My first encounter with a canvas was amazingly spontaneous. The ease I felt with it is reflected in the lightness and fluidity of my work. Applying the paint onto the canvas is instinctive and natural, requiring neither planning nor conscious thought - it is more intuitive and emotional than intellectual.

To determine what my artwork represents, I believe it is better to simply let yourself be stirred by the movement of ideas in your unconscious mind. It is an art which needs to be felt rather than understood, in my view, and which will transport you emotionally if you are receptive to it.

My technique is similar to that used by Jackson Pollock, and I share his preference for working on large paintings.

My initial inspiration from seeing a Jackson Pollock print at ten years of age led me to discover and learn about other artists, for instance Yves Klein, Gerhard Richter,
Jasper Ford, Vladimir Kandinsky, Willem De Kooning, Georges Braque, Barnett Newman, Clyfford Still, Joan Mitchell as well as sculptors such as Alberto Giacometti, Barbara Hepworth, Henry Moore and others.

Art, always been part of my life. I have always sketched or drawn. I have expressed my creativity in the high end of the fashion industry for many years and then studied Interior Design, Creative Writing and Drama. My love for art has been reinforced by two years study of the History of Art.
Studying History of Art gave me a more meaningful understanding of the visual art. These insights inspire my work.
For the last two years, after many years , I have started to sketch again.

My work has been sold mainly to private collectors, privately, during exhibitions and on Saatchiart.
