Born in Brooklyn, I spent most of my adult life in Santa Monica, California where I had a studio on Venice Beach. My work is in the permanent collections of the Getty Center, LA, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Brooklyn Museum, the Museum of the City of NY, MOMA Dublin, the archives of the Venice Biennale, Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Portland Museum of Art, Oregon, George Eastman House, New York, among others. Plus important corporate and private collections. I moved to Santa Fe in 2016 to bring horses into our lives. I presently own fourTennessee Walking Horses and five Springer Spaniels. I teach at the Santa Fe Workshops and while in LA, I taught night photo workshops for Otis College of Art and Design, Photo LA and the Skirball Center
Learned photography from my dad, a number of mentors and classes taken at Otis College of Art and Design, Los Angeles. My undergraduate degree is in Theatre Design from SUNY New Paltz, NY and I still continue my education. I have taken workshops and classes in everything from studio lighting, to contemporary art history, critical theory, bookmaking, computer graphics, graphic design, life drawing, encaustic wax media, photoshop, storyboarding and animation.
