Elena Damiani (Uruguay, 1991)
My creative process in painting emerges organically, shaped by my surroundings and, currently, by the digital world.
I began painting in 2016 in Ignacio Iturria’s studio, where I embarked on a personal journey that continues to evolve.
Observing everyday life is my main source of inspiration, through which I discover a universe defined by the constant pursuit of immediacy.
When I connect with the work, that urgency fades, giving way to a sense of calm and reflection.
My work focuses on deconstructing the real and the perceptible, translating it onto canvas through abstract compositions.
Through color and form, I intuitively seek to find balance within the composition.
I have participated in several group exhibitions, including:
Aguada Park(May 2025)
Disbelief on Pause (Black Gallery, Pueblo Garzón, December 2024),
Dispararte (El Galpón Obligado, Montevideo, July 2023),
and El Anexo (Carrasco, Montevideo, December 2020).
