In The Embracers, the body is no longer an independent entity, but a field continuously generated and transformed through relational interaction.
Cutting, distortion, and compression are not merely expressive gestures, but methods used to organize relationships between bodies. Emotional tension functions as an internal pressure that drives these transformations, causing bodies to be continuously broken, reassembled, and redefined.
Here, the “embrace” does not signify tenderness, but a relational event of high-density contact, where bodily boundaries are constantly challenged and reshaped.
The image is no longer a representation of reality, but an ongoing process of continuous formation and transformation.
