I’m Ravone, a self-taught artist working primarily in graphite and charcoal.

My work moves between precision and expression — graphite allows me to study form, light and detail, while charcoal gives me the freedom to work with deeper shadows, texture and expressive marks. Through portraiture and figurative work, I’m interested in presence, emotion, and the space beneath what we see on the surface.

I began drawing from a young age, initially drawn to the challenge of observing people and translating what I saw onto paper. Over time, drawing became more than an exercise in accuracy. I became increasingly interested in what could be expressed through contrast, imperfections, negative space and the marks themselves.

My work doesn't aim for photographic perfection. I prefer a balance between observation and spontaneity — allowing controlled detail to coexist with looser, more expressive passages.

Although my background also includes photography, design and technology, drawing remains the foundation of my creative practice.

I work primarily with graphite and charcoal on archival-quality papers and panels, creating original works intended to be experienced as physical pieces rather than simply images on a screen.

I began drawing as a kid and never stopped. Though I studied Mechatronics (which I didn’t complete), art became my true path. Over the years I’ve taught myself portraiture, first in graphite, now blending realism with expressive marks.
