Igoris Stagys

I am an anesthesiologist working in Vilnius, Lithuania. I often work in high stress sithuation, where a great deal of concentration and alertness is necessary. After a lot of years in practice one day I just bought some painting materials and dived to painting. So I started out painting entirely through trial and error without even reading a book. My paintings are the outer manifestation of an inner state.

Dr. Igoris Stagys received his medical degree in 1980 from Lithuanian University of Health Science. After two years of anesthesiology training in Riga 1st Hospital he became an anesthesiologist.
