Ilse Krukle

I’m Ilse Krūkle, a flower and floral artist based in Riga, Latvia. My work explores the emotional language of flowers — their quiet strength, symbolic beauty, and the stories they whisper between the lines. I create both realistic and abstract floral paintings, blending fine detail with atmosphere to capture not just how a flower looks, but how it feels. Every piece I paint is a moment of stillness — a visual breath — meant to offer the viewer calm, connection, and reflection.

Nature is my greatest muse. I’m particularly drawn to irises, peonies, and other expressive blooms that seem to carry hidden meanings. Each brushstroke is intentional, guided by emotion and memory. I believe flowers can hold what words often can’t — grief, joy, longing, or rebirth — and I use my art to give those feelings shape and color. Whether it’s a rich burgundy iris or a soft wash of lavender tones, my goal is always to tell a quiet story through petals, light, and space.
