Diane Tormey “LadyLight”

Diane an emerging artist, is constantly testing the limits. She enjoys the challenges of new styles and ideas. Most of those ideas are born of dreams and intuition. Hence the name “The Iluminartist”. Acrylic is her favorite medium, but sculpture, design, mixed media are also provocative. She was born in NYC, N.Y. where she witnessed a very eclectic life. It was a treasured experience growing up around some of the best inspiration any city has to offer. Having made the Transition to SW Florida in 1994, all of those memories remain in her heart to this day.

Her background was interior design. Painting took her by surprise, having never picked up a paintbrush before a local paint party. From that moment she was hooked, painting ideas that do not necessarily follow tried and true concepts. The more well known pieces “Just One Wish”, “Floating Tears”, “Solitude Moon”, &“Speaking Beauty” compel you to think and consider life on another level.. Spreading light and love with each piece she creates. The joy she feels in her work conveys to those that see it and fall in love too.
