I am an artist from Rome, Italy, and have been living and working in New York City for more than 15 years.
The subjects of my drawings are all from live models in pencil, gouache, or watercolor. My aim is to transfer onto paper the "aliveness" of the model, by capturing both the energy of the pose and the rhythm of the body through economical choices of lines and the lack thereof.
I am passionate about these drawings and have been fortunate to have had a number of them included in successful shows and galleries in New York.
I am an alumnus of both "Istituto d'Arte" in Rome, with both a Maestro d'Arte and a Maturita` d'Arte Applicata (Masters of Applied Art), and School of Visual Arts in New York City, with a BFA from the Department of Illustration. I currently teach illustration and color theory at CUNY Hostos Community College in New York City.
