Irina Denisova, known on social media by her artist nickname Irisa Didrisa, is a fine art photographer based in Australia. Born in 1981 in Blagoveshchensk, Russia, she has lived and worked in Australia since 2019.
Her work explores inner experience through colour, atmosphere and carefully constructed imagery. She is interested in moments when ordinary reality becomes slightly unfamiliar, and when an image can evoke a state of consciousness rather than simply depict a subject. Her photography moves between fine art portraiture, still life and conceptual imagery, often exploring identity, transformation, duality and the subtle connection between the inner and outer worlds.
Her work invites a contemplative and sensory engagement with the image, encouraging the viewer to slow down and experience rather than simply observe. Her photographs have received recognition in international photography competitions, including the Smithsonian Magazine Photo Contest, Fine Art Photography Awards and Erarta Prize, and have been exhibited in Australia and internationally.
She currently lives and works in Victoria, Australia.
Specialised education in portrait, fine art and digital photography through professional photography schools, courses and workshops in Russia and internationally.
