Roger Kirk is an American artist, born in Trinidad, living in Texas. He works in many media including oil, acrylics, watercolor, charcoal, pastels and mixed media. Roger has been painting since childhood and has won international competitions in art, music and languages. He studied art with Jackie Hinkson at Queens Royal College in Trinidad and under scholarship at the Scottsdale Artists' School in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Roger's artistic journey has been described as a mesmerizing interplay of light, color, and emotion. Through his masterful brushstrokes and intricate compositions, he captures the essence of fleeting moments and translates them onto canvas and paper. His work beckons viewers to step into his world, where the ordinary becomes extraordinary, inviting contemplation and connection.
When he's not in the studio, Roger actively supports non-profit ventures such as Meals on Wheels of Central Texas, and the Arizona Consortium for the Arts, the latter of which he is a founding member. He also co-manages a retail shop on Facebook called "Nemo's Place" with his partner, Joseph. Roger's works have been purchased by collectors all over the globe.
Graduated with certification in Art from Queens Royal College in Trinidad and Tobago. He received a scholarship to study art at Scottsdale Artists School in Arizona and completed the program in 2010.
