Petrucci Ivano

IVANO PETRUCCI is a painter, writer, performer, and art teacher.
He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome and for over twelve years has participated in numerous exhibitions and art awards, as well as appearing in institutional shows of national and international importance.

Ivano Petrucci's artistic production is rooted in the expressiveness of the soul's movements and the psychological dynamics of the human figure, represented as a sensorial vibration; but more than anything else, it is expressed through the power of acrylic and oil colors on canvas or paper surfaces.
According to curator Alessandro Giansanti, "Gesture and movement are also fundamental, which he draws heavily from his experience as a performer, and which helps him develop a better spatial conception of the elements placed on the canvas. The abstraction in Petrucci's color meets and clashes with the figurative, giving life to a hybrid technique suspended between the two worlds [...]".

He develops an expressionist exploration based on the movements of the soul and the psychological dynamics of the human figure and color; this is represented as a sensorial vibration, but more than anything else, it is expressed in the power of colors through "masks," mirrors, so to speak, made of fascinating, evocative, even everlasting features, in which we can reflect ourselves.

His experience at ADAH – Abu Dhabi Art Hub in the United Arab Emirates in 2013 was significant, where he completed an artistic residency and created one of his first paintings.

His paintings were chosen in 2016 by director Roberto Mariotti for his latest film "Una vita incambio" (A Life in Exchange), to decorate a set interior.
