Jairo Romero (Colombia, 1979) is a Colombian-Panamanian visual artist whose work explores the relationship between geometry, color, and structure as a contemporary language. His practice is characterized by carefully balanced compositions, where abstract elements are organized into dynamic visual systems that evoke urban cartographies and architectural rhythms.
Through mixed media, Romero constructs surfaces that combine order and spontaneity: layers, fragments, and patterns that engage in a dialogue between intuitive gesture and geometric precision. His work proposes a constantly shifting visual reading, where each section functions as an autonomous unit within a harmonious whole.
Based in Panama, he has participated in exhibitions and projects throughout Latin America, with work held in private collections in the United States, Europe, and the region. He also works in art education, integrating research and experimentation into his practice.
