Jama Jose Andres Mato Alonso

JAMA was born on August , 1974 . Since he was a child, at the age of six seven eight, his father would take him to visit family members and friends and in order to keep him occupied, he would ask him to draw pictures of
them, After this, he would never again make a realist portrait . Jama says..

In 1994, he enrolled in a University to study Sciences. There, surrounded by artists, poets, mathematician, writers, musicians. and biologists, all enthusiastic about learning the secrets of the universe, he changed his study path to Geography. This change allowed him to have a broader vision of nature, to become a more social man, and here is were he created his proper style influenced by the philosopher Aristotle, and his book of logic (The Organon).

In 2002, he arrived in Costa Rica, for an art show and remained there for two months, giving himself the opportunity to share and assist in various expositions, until he arrived in Miami on August 19th of that same year. Once in Miami, encouraged by the characteristics of the cultural city , and in the midst of different artistic tendencies, Jama understood the real value of art, position and function for humanity.
