Jane Overbury is a landscape painter who was born in Cheltenham (England) in 1961. She studied Illustration at Harrow School of Art and then embarked on a career in Design which lasted until a break to raise a family led her to return to painting. In 2017 she completed the Porthmeor Programme, which culminated in a group exhibition at the Penwith Gallery in St Ives.
She has participated in numerous group shows and has held several solo exhibitions. In 2020 she was awarded the Worshipful Company of Painter-Stainers Prize for Representational Art at the 2020 Broadway Arts Festival for her painting "Wired". The following year she won the main prize in the Open Art Competition at the same festival for her painting "Eerie Silence, February 2021."
She continues to run classes and workshops from her studio in the Cotswolds and manages to find time to paint every day.
