Janine Brown's autobiographical work maps her reactions to, and interpretations of, events in her life ranging from abstract paintings inspired by her break with the fashion industry to photographic works documenting the adventures of a stuffed dog Rocks. She often uses photography or architecture as a starting point for her artworks, mixing the physical and emotional through a combination of appropriation and formal psychological choices.
