Jan Pearson

My art is made with a care for the environment, using waste materials , painted with environmentally friendly paints and coated with environmentally friendly varnish.

I 've used waste paper to make my own paper for some of my earlier collages and paper mache for my first attempts at sculpture. My sculptures are minimalist, concentrating on the fluidity of line, such as in my homage to Botticelli in 'Line of Venus'.
I've created some illustrations for children's books in e-format and also my own book, 'The Dangerous Caves of Botown', a children's adventure/fantasy.

Graduated as a mature student from Liverpool Hope University College in 1996 with Double First combined degree in Fine Art Painting and English Literature. Exhibitions in Liverpool, Keele,Barcelona, Florence and Brussels.
My latest work is in illustration for children's books.
