Jan Rankin

As a visual storyteller  I enjoy creating beautiful pieces with paint. The magnificence of the British Columbia mountains, ocean and the Southern Gulf Islands inspire much of my work. As well, my imagination is fascinated by brilliant play of light created by the sun’s solar flares ~ playing and reflecting so briefly in the dark night skies. Remnants of energy that illuminate the darkness. Pure light in works like Gypsy and Enchanted. Hearts and Flowers are those special pieces, often commissioned, that give me pleasure to create.
