Jan Van Der Laan

Jan van der Laan (born 1960) is a sculptor
with a deep love for beauty, stillness, and
the natural world. Since 2000, he has been
creating sculptures inspired by organic,
nature-based forms. His work is characterized
by a harmonious and elegant interplay
of fluid, pure curves and clear abstraction.
Working in stone and bronze, Jan crafts
each sculpture with attention to detail.
His artworks have found homes in
interiors, gardens, and collections across
the globe—including Europe, Canada, the
United States, the Middle East, and Asia.

Jan van der Laan started his career as a sculptor in 2000. His early apprenticeship was with the renowned sculptor from The Hague, Mark Rietmeijer, until 2004, when he embarked on his own path as an independent sculptor.
