RECOGNITION

I’m a South African mixed-media artist whose work bridges the digital and the tactile — from surreal bird-headed collages to richly textured fiber and textile art. My current body of work began as a quiet act of healing, transforming the symbol of the noose into woven forms of beauty and resilience.

Each piece is made entirely by hand, combining thread, fabric, and found materials into something that feels both raw and sacred. I’m inspired by transformation — how darkness can be rewoven into light, how pain can give birth to color, and how art can hold what words cannot.

I create slowly, intuitively, allowing texture and emotion to guide the process. I hope that each work carries a little of that alchemy — a reminder that even from frayed edges, something luminous can emerge.
