About JCT Li

Born in Taiwan, JCT Li studied Interactive Media Design in Singapore and in 2008 she relocated to Germany where received her MFA in Public Art and New Artistic Strategies in 2010 at the Bauhaus University of Weimar, Germany.

HAVE A NICE DAY is an ongoing project since 2010. It is a series of digital collages containing random pictures with anonymous people sourced from the internet. The found images are reprocessed with digital manipulations to the amount that the features become unrecognizable. This series can be perceived a form of digital recycling as well as a satirical act on how our perception of aesthetics has been greatly influenced by the digitally altered images.
