Jenny Lai Olsen

Jenny Lai Olsen is a boston-based painter. She paints mostly in oil. She loves the physical sensation of applying oil paints. Her goal is to explore the medium in greater depth, and use the versatility of oils to achieve the strongest impact in each painting without losing its honesty and freshness. Currently, Jenny is exploring the interplay of abstracts and figures in her work.

Jenny studied at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Massachusetts College of Arts, participated in the art residency in Amsterdam. Represented by Galatea Fine Art in Boston from 2009 to 2013, she is now affiliated with Gallery 263 in Cambridge and Paula Estey Gallery in Newburyport, Masschusetts. She is also an Artist in Residence at Cambridge Health Alliance.

Jenny is the "Best in Show" award winner of Cambridge Art Association's 14th National Prize Show in 2015. She has shown her work in solo, small group, juried awards and invitation shows in the US and Taiwan.

Jenny's work can be found in private and public collections in Massachusetts, California, Florida, Pennsylvania and Taiwan.
