Jeremy Russo-Ball is an artist living in Bermondsey, Southwark, London,SE1 with a studio space in his home and a larger studio in Peckham SE15.
Underpinning Jeremy’s arts practice are Buddhist principles such as dependent origination and eshō-funi, meaning oneness of self and environment. These principles enshrine that there is no separation or division between humans, all living beings, the planet we live on, and the entire universe: everything is part of the whole, interdependent, and in a constant state of flux. It’s this pulsating life-force and vital energy of universal, inseparable interconnection, that Jeremy aims to be in unity with and express, whilst painting.
Jeremy’s creative processes draw inspiration from and incorporates aspects of both Western and East Asian art practices and theories. His current paintings are made with acrylic paint on watercolour paper in varying intensities and dilution.
Jeremy completed a BA in Fine Art at Middlesex University in 2000, where he also - later – studied for his MA in Fine Art, graduating in 2017 with a Merit.
