ABOUT
EDUCATION
RECOGNITION

Jesse Diss creates work for collectors who value depth over decoration. He creates psychologically charged paintings that explore identity, tension, and contemporary interior states. Working with oil, acrylic, oil stick, and oil pastel on canvas and wood panel, Diss builds layered surfaces that reward sustained viewing and emotional engagement.

Each piece is built around tension — between presence and absence, control and vulnerability — inviting sustained engagement rather than instant readability.

Produced in limited quantities, Diss’s works are intentionally scarce, with each piece functioning as part of a wider psychological narrative rather than a standalone image. The surfaces reveal subtle details over time, rewarding repeat viewing and personal interpretation.

Collectors from all over the world are drawn to the honesty of the work: nothing ornamental, nothing accidental. These are pieces meant to live with you — to shift in meaning as the viewer brings their own experiences into the conversation.

Availability is limited, and once a work enters a private collection, it is rarely revisited or reproduced.

Defining the work of artist JESSE DISS simply as pop art is something of a simplification. He uses a variety of materi...

Jesse Diss has a non-classical art pedigree - he completed his studies at South Essex College in 2004.

His individual style has eventually built something of a small following - he was invited to the prestigious and nationally covered Leigh Art Trail as a Special Guest in June 2013. He submitted a large metal sculpture from sea salvagings, which he recycled afterwards while making other artwork, as part of a dialogue about how entropy deconstructs all things.

He is currently exhibiting at Beacroft Gallery in the city of Southend On Sea.

Jesse has high profile collectors in the USA, Europe, Australia and London - including PR guru Lynne Franks. His most recent large exhibition was a collection of silk-screen prints in Spain (“Bluesmen & Pin-ups”, August 2013, Deia, Mallorca, Spain), which attracted record visitors and press interest.
