ABOUT
EXHIBITIONS

A Mancunian by birth, I now live and work in Dunbar, East Lothian, Scotland, UK.

I am self-taught and consider myself to be an ‘intuitive artist’ who paints what I feel, and most of my work reflects my feelings from within and my mood at the time.

I approach a new canvas uncluttered without any preconceived ideas and allow my work to evolve from within myself.

I love bright colours and mainly use acrylic paint. Most of my work is on canvas with the occasional painting on hardboard. Although most of my work is in the medium of acrylic, I also present work in pastel, charcoal, mixed media. watercolour and collage.

People often see hidden images in my paintings, which add another dimension to their appeal.

I was a tutor at Scarborough Sixth Form College for eleven years, where I taught art to special needs students in the Lifelong Learning Department of the College.
