Jo Mcgrath

I’m based at the famous Yew Tree Farm in Coniston, Cumbria, where I’m surrounded by constant inspiration for my drawings and paintings. Beatrix Potter used to own yew Tree Farm, and I love the idea that I’m following in her footsteps, specialising in the character of our domestic and wild Cumbrian animals.

I work with charcoal, watercolour, gouache and pastels, often in the same picture. The comments made most often about my work are ‘lively and energetic!’ and ‘full of life and character!’

I sell original artwork and limited edition Giclee prints and greetings cards. I also work to commission.
