Joana Espiñal

Dealing with multiple ways to sence the world, Joana Araújo Espiñal dwells in multiple materials achieving distinct results.
Sometimes the photographic eye takes control, leaving behind new technologies as the transparent veil of film takes control, and gets imprinted in big fabric.
Suddenly the world gets big enough and she discovers a whole new way of seeing things. And from the "normal" everyday objects she can detect forms, shapes and colours hidden from view.
Then, when least expected, a tiny watercolor box starts screaming out loud stories that need to be told to children of any age, making them dream, once again, of hope, of fun, of love...
