JOANNA MAJEWSKA (1974)
The artist’s primary area of expression is large-format abstract paintings. She achieves dynamic compositions through the use of expansive color fields combined with details finished with acrylic markers, charcoal, and pencil. Her palette predominantly features primary colors.
She employs textures, cracks, and organic lines of varying thickness, reflecting her background in architecture and spatial organization. Recently, she has been creating on linen canvas.
For the artist, painting is a creative process ruled by orderly chaos.
A graduate of the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, she earned her diploma in the studio of Professor Barbara Brokowska-Larysz at the Faculty of Interior Design. Her artistic education began in 1990 at the Tadeusz Kantor High School of Fine Arts in Dąbrowa Górnicza.
