EDUCATION
He lives and works in Madrid. He is a visual artist, researcher and Assistant Professor at the Complutense University of Madrid. His research focuses on the concealment or encryption of the word within contemporary art as a postmodern symptom in response to the suspicion or mistrust generated by literary sources. The themes he addresses fluctuate across the various issues that run through his work: the body, memory, language, queer identity, appropriation, references, books... Through reading, he reinterprets texts, continually returning to writing or oratory. In recent years, he has compiled an archive of LGBTIQ+ artists who have produced work on gender and sexuality issues in the city of Valencia between 1975 and 2024.
He holds a PhD in Art: Research and Production, with a thesis entitled "Words, Words, Words: An Analysis of the Use of Writing in Artistic Practice through Five Case Studies" (2021), from the Polytechnic University of Valencia. At this university, he was awarded a post-doctoral Margarita Salas Grant (2023–2024) funded by the Ministry of Universities and the European Union – NextGenerationEU; he was an FPI scholarship holder (2017–2020); and he completed a Master’s degree in Artistic Production (2016). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts (2007, University of La Laguna) with an Outstanding Graduation Award.
