Joanna Turlej

Joanna Turlej is a contemporary, collage artist. She graduated from the OCAD University in Toronto, ON. with an honors degree in art and design and George A. Reid Award of Excellence. She explored different media, such as watercolors and acrylics, and mixed media. She began drawing and painting under the guidance of her father, who was an artist and an art professor at various art schools. Four years at OCAD University provided Joanna with an even more solid foundation in the art field, re-enforced later by workshops with well-known artists. Joanna exhibits nationally and internationally. She is an elected member of OSA (Ontario Society of Artists) and a president and a life member of CFS (Colour and Form Society).
In 2020, Joanna’s work has been accepted to the Government of Ontario Art Collection.

Joanna graduated from OCAD University in Toronto, ON, Canada with an honors degree in art and design.

She also studied under these artists: Skip Lawrence (Watercolour), Christopher Schink (Watercolour), Alvaro Castagnet (Watercolour), Linda Kemp (Watercolour), John Leonard (advanced self-study), Peter Kolisnyk (advanced self-study), Brian Atyeo (Negative painting and glazing)
