I believe in the expressive function of color and take a free, spontaneous approach to painting. My artistic style lives somewhere between impressionism and modern art, and I use intense brush strokes, scratching techniques, paint splatter and large swaths of color to give each work a life of its own. I've studied many artistic styles and themes, and enjoy the aesthetics of post-impressionism - including fauvism, expressionism, and the blue rider movement. Though I appreciate these styles, I also put my own spirit and unique stamp on each piece. I use quality paints on archival canvas and each painting arrives ready to hang on a wall and enjoy for years.
