John Matta

I am a contemporary realist specialising in portrait and figure painting. My work is rooted in the tradition of classical realism, inspired by the timeless beauty and craftsmanship of the Old Masters. Through the interplay of light and shadow, I aim to create depth, mood, and a sense of quiet intensity within each piece.

I studied at the Angel Academy of Art in Florence.

I appeared on the UK television show Sky Portrait Artist of the Year season 12.
