Joseph Callahan

Joseph Callahan is a self absorbed emerging artist of limited talent, although talent is of little consequence to the modern art movement since the emergence of Dadaism, Abstract Expressionism, and Art Brute. Being self taught, Joseph’s art focuses on trying to convey emotion to an ever chaotic, mixed line of mediums and styles. As of today, he is a yet undiscovered talent whose art just may have the potential to reach the same overrated status of Damien Hirst or Anish Kapor.

His sister says his art is “awesome”, but to be fair, she owns some of his work and may just be waiting for fame and his lavish lifestyle to raise the value of his art to astronomical heights. It’s not a bad idea for you either. This is the time to buy, while he is still relatively unknown and affordable.

Artistically he has been splashing paint on canvas, paper, and random assembled pieces all his life. It wasn’t till 2007 that he decided to call his creations art and make an attempt at selling them. To his surprise, many people have fallen in love with his art and it is currently in private and corporate collections world wide.

He tries to create with raw emotion as well as any medium he happens to have at hand, and has since created a large, diverse portfolio. He does not like to follow “the rules” art schools teach, and does not stay with one “style”. His art is fluid, and ever changing.

His most current showing is an ongoing private showing in his home that to date has, including himself, been attended by 1 lethargic human and 2 unimpressed cats.
