Joseph Schwartzman

I have been a working artist for more than forty years, with a degree in Fine Arts and a lifelong dedication to oil painting. My work spans two distinct passions, the classical figurative tradition, drawing inspiration from the old masters, and more experimental works that bring together the ethereal beauty of nebulae with the grace of the human form through dancers and ballerinas. Over the decades I have exhibited widely, with numerous shows across many years. My work has been recognized by Saatchi Art, who featured me in one of their curated calls for artists. I am particularly drawn to the human figure, its beauty, movement, and the stories it tells, and I continue to explore these themes both through carefully observed, technically refined portraits and through more imaginative, otherworldly compositions.
