Nihinlola Joshua Love

I am a Nigerian visual artist working primarily in pencil, charcoal and oil painting. My practice explores human emotion, everyday life, childhood, family, nature and experiences that connect people across cultures. I am particularly interested in capturing emotions through expressive faces, gestures and carefully observed details.

My drawings and paintings often begin with ordinary moments that carry deeper stories. Through realistic portraiture and conceptual imagery, I explore themes such as innocence, love , motherhood, hope, vulnerability and the relationship between people and their environment. I aim to create works that are visually engaging while inviting viewers to pause, feel and find their own meaning to the image.

My approach is rooted in patience, observation and traditional artistic techniques. I work by hand and value the character, texture and imperfections that make an original artwork unique. As my practice continues to develop, I hope to share stories from my perspective as a Nigerian artist with audiences around the world.
