Joy Kloman was a tenured associate professor at University of Mississippi, who supervised graduate and undergraduate painting programs. Professor Kloman also taught drawing in London. Joy Kloman was the recipient of a Mississippi Arts Commission Individual Artist State Grant. She has had work displayed in The Drawing Center Viewing Program Slide Registry, NY. Kloman attended an artist residency in Latvia, hosted by the Rothko Museum (and has been invited again this year), Hungary, Sardinia, and Slovenia. Her upcoming residencies include: Sorrento, Italy, Paris, France, Daugavpils, Latvia, and Vashon Island, WA. Her art is in many private and public collections including, Valdis Buss Art Centre and Vilaka Museum, Latvia, Art Circle, Slovenia, Balatonfüred City Hall, Hungary, Ringling Museum of Art, Gulf Coast Museum of Art, Pensacola Museum of Art, and Meridian Museum of Art.
