About joseph shalabi

My work reflects a surreal interpretation of everyday life and scenery. My motivation stems from searching my surroundings, gaining an understanding of the complex nature of life, and interpreting them onto a blank surface.

I am drawn to transformation, from the abandoned, lonely and forgotten eras, to the metamorphosis of human beings, stretching my imagination to its infinite limits. I try to purvey timelessness in my art, preserving a moment in time as I perceive it, and with a limited palette, snatch a frame from the reel of life as I perceive it, and share it.
