The 1970s found me beginning college with a 35mm Nikon camera around my neck. While I've migrated to larger cameras over the years that won't fit around my neck, I still capture my images with film because that's the only way I know to create the nostalgic sensations I want my scenes to project.
My subjects have remained constant over the past several decades: old historic architecture and cultural settings, out-of-the-way places in nature, and (sometimes) even table-top still lifes when I feel the need to "control" anything.
My images are captured with larger format film (size 120 and 4x5) cameras. I scan the negatives with high resolution scanner, and then express the resulting image artistically.
You can purchase prints of my images several ways:
-Open Editions from SaatchiArt: These prints are not signed, and I have no control over the final print.
-I will work with you to create a collection of prints for custom display in permanent venues. I've worked with several corporate curators to create such collections. Print sizes are not limited to those described on SaatchiArtOnline, and I have several images on my website that are not shown on SaatchiArtOnline. Just contact me for more details.

I earned 2 doctorates in the medical sciences (D.V.M., Ph. D), but decided to follow my passion for art photography in 2010. I'm self-taught as a photographer and artist, but after 50+ years making photographic art, I never tire of learning new ways to tell visual stories.
