Jose Ramon Muro

Jose Ramon Muro started to use the techniques of landscape painting but his technical training on engineering gave his paintings specific traits that reflect his knowledge of technical drawing, specifically in their geometry and perspective. In the 1990s he opted for a more hyper-real type of painting.

The well-defined vanishing lines that emphasize the perspective in addition to great contrasts are a general style present in his paintings. Usually done in acrylic paint on worden canvas and applying mixed techniques each frame is a carefully planned project from the origin recreating the photographic reality of a particular moment framed in a composition of lights and shadows that were not selected at random
