Juan Carlos Marcos

Photographs that behave like paintings: layered exposures where time, movement and memory fuse into a single frame.

Raised among painters and trained in the analog darkroom, Juan Carlos Marcos builds each image from several overlapping exposures. Water, reflections, foliage and light dissolve into one another, somewhere between abstraction and landscape.

He doesn't document a place. He keeps what remains of it: a moment, layered until it feels like a memory.
