Juan Carlos Marcos: Art in Constant Evolution.

For Juan Carlos Marcos, art is more than a discipline; it is a way of inhabiting the world. His creative universe is born from the convergence of photography and painting—two languages he has intertwined since childhood.

Raised among brushes and pigments under the mentorship of his father, also a painter, the halls of the Museo del Prado served as his early classroom of discovery. At sixteen, the camera revealed a new way of seeing. Trained in analog techniques and the art of the darkroom, he learned to interpret light and find beauty in the invisible.

His photography is based on multiple overlapping exposures that capture the passage of time. Different moments coexist in a single image: a trembling leaf, a shifting reflection, light moving millimeter by millimeter.

Each work is a limited edition fine art print, printed on museum-quality paper with archival inks, and includes a signed certificate of authenticity.

2000 – 2004: Fine Arts and Painting Techniques at Albayalde Art Center (Madrid), under the direction of Marga Nieto and the renowned painter Cristian Avilés. This period provided the classical foundation and pictorial vision that defines his current work.

1995 – 1998: Professional Photography, Lighting, and Darkroom Processing at Blasco 19 (Madrid), under the direction of Nacho Rubiera. This technical training in analog laboratory processes is the cornerstone of his mastery of light and his "painting with the camera" technique.
