Judy is a contemporary artist based in Matagami, Quebec, whose work bridges abstract and figurative expression. Her paintings explore emotion, memory, and northern landscapes through layered textures and evocative form. Rooted in painting and printmaking, her work is inspired by the boreal forest — its textures, silences, and the subtle transformations it undergoes in a changing world.

Through layered abstraction, organic forms, and a deeply sensory approach, she evokes the fragility and resilience of ecosystems — from windswept clearings to moss-covered earth and sunlit fields of dandelions. Her art invites viewers to slow down, reconnect, and listen to the quiet intelligence of the natural world.

Judith lives and works in Matagami, James Bay, Quebec where she also facilitates creative workshops that link artistic expression with environmental awareness.

- Master’s degree in Art Education, Concordia University, Montreal, QC.
- Bachelor of Fine Arts (Drawing, Painting, Printmaking, Photography and Fibre Arts) Concordia University, Montréal, QC.
