In our fast-paced life there’s ever less time to pause, to dream, to fail, to laugh. Because we are always occupied with striving for more, better & faster, we forget to consider what really moves us in this precious time that is ours. Through my work, I take a break and explore this abstract space of emotion, doubt, confusion, and everything that makes us unique, alive & human.

Abstraction can transcend any theme and is a wonderfully adaptable form of expression – it can handle complexity & communicate emotions that are often difficult to articulate through language. Within this pallet I found my way to appreciate simple moments. Resulting in pieces that are sometimes almost unfinished, illogical, raw, or whimsical. Expressing acceptance for the many shapes & sides of ourselves.
I especially value the small imperfections, unplanned surprises and all the flaws that make up the charm of the hand-made. Celebrating the diversity in the small everyday and our inner experience, I’m formulating what we sometimes need to be reminded of in our fast-paced times of uncertainty: We are here.
