Julia Ruf

Julia Ruf is a contemporary figurative artist currently based in Berlin, Germany. Born in 1980 in Irbit, Russia, she attended art school from 1992 to 1997 and graduated from the Tyumen Architectural Academy with a degree in Architecture in 2005. In 2023, she relocated to Germany, where she now lives and works.

Working primarily with acrylic and mixed media on canvas, her paintings convey the value and significance of life's moments, the excitement of anticipation, sexuality, and deep emotional experiences. She looks for ways to archive these fleeting moments, turning them into visual stories.

Her works are an exploration of inner meaning, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in the art, experience the emotions it evokes, and discover a part of themselves within it. Julia's artworks are held in private collections worldwide, including the USA, Canada, Great Britain, Germany, France, and the UAE.
