Julieta Tello

Born in Patagonia, Argentina, in a small town of fewer than 7,000 people, I grew up surrounded by vast landscapes, silence, mythology and introspection — elements that continue to shape my artistic language today. The night skies of Patagonia left a particularly deep impression on me; the Milky Way felt visible in a way that was almost overwhelming, with stars that appeared closer, clearer and more alive than anywhere else I have lived.

My connection to art began in my grandmother’s ceramic and painting studio, where I spent much of my childhood watching her fire pieces in the kiln. Those early memories of clay, colour and handmade objects stayed with me long before I considered becoming an artist myself.

I am a self-taught artist currently working primarily with acrylic paint, oil pastels and symbolic visual storytelling. Alongside my independent practice, I have explored different creative disciplines through courses in painting, drawing, pottery, collage and mixed-media techniques.
