Jyoti Tyagi

As an artist, I work hard to develop Paintings ; Sculptures that speak both to me and to others about the beauty that exists all around us.

In my art, I like to capture the beauty in mundane objects; places. I like to look at the patterns, designs on the objects around me, in nature, in ruins… They all have a story to tell.

Part of my process before I begin Paintings or Sculptures is to do my research by reading; capturing pictures of what I am about to recreate on canvas or clay. I do not merely want to capture the image with my brushes, rather, with careful, colorful strokes, I want the story to be told in the artwork.

I try with every finished work to breathe life into maybe a long forgotten culture or anything in the present that is Modern which has evolved over a period of time. The designs, ideas , innovations ; lifestyle are displayed on my canvas or in the sculptures I make. These elements and process creates a conversation between me and the artwork.
