I am a visual artist and industrial designer working at the intersection of light, material, process, and form.
My background in industrial design has shaped how I approach art. I am interested in systems, structure, repetition, and the physical behavior of materials, as well as what happens when a controlled process is allowed to become unpredictable.
My artistic practice focuses on cyanotype and alternative photographic processes. Using photosensitive chemistry and direct exposure, I treat light as an active material rather than merely a means of recording an image. Physical gestures, objects, surfaces, and variations in exposure become part of the final composition.
Across series such as FLOW, FIGURES, and TRACES, I explore relationships between order and chance. Geometric structures coexist with organic forms, transparency, movement, and gestural marks. This contrast between precision and irregularity reflects the connection between my design practice and my artistic work.
The characteristic blue of cyanotype is integral to the process. Variations in exposure, contact, chemistry, and material create effects that cannot be precisely repeated, and I preserve these irregularities as part of the finished work.
