Kalon Celeste

My paintings are a rendition of our own multilayered reality. I explore the concept of self through memories, experiences and places in my paintings. The colour blue has been a very important part of my paintings, as exotic as it is, it holds a higher level of value for me, something I always subconsciously run towards in search of a place beyond the dimensions that are accessible to us, a peace that we have yet to know. A Happy Place.

I am a self taught artist, learning through life experiences, connections, curiosity and embracing the vigour to practice and experiment.

I graduated from National Institute of Fashion Technology, Kannur in 2020. I was forever intrigued by the texture explorations we did in our design process and it has influenced my art practise to a great extend.

In my school life (Delhi Public School Vasant Vihar, Delhi Public School R.K.Puram) I always participated in art competitions. My school art teachers shaped up my art practice in the primitive years. Every little motivation counts.
