Seoktae Kang

I believe that a painting can become a small light in someone's life.

For more than twenty years, I have explored the invisible emotions that connect people through painting. My inspiration began with The Little Prince, but my work is not an illustration of the book. Instead, it is a visual language that expresses hope, memory, childhood, and the quiet emotions that often remain unseen.

I studied Oriental Painting and later earned both a Master's degree in Painting and a Ph.D. in Culture and Arts. While my academic journey deepened my understanding of art, it also taught me that the most meaningful paintings are not explained by theory—they are felt by the heart.

Every painting begins with a simple question:

How can art make someone's day a little brighter?

My works are inspired by moments of everyday life, family, love, and the courage people discover after overcoming pain. I believe that even difficult experiences can become seeds of hope, and that art has the power to gently remind us of the child who still lives within us.
