Wim Kannekens was born in 1955 in the south of Holland. Started his artist career as a dancer/choreographer. In preparation of a choreography he drew and painted to get the images/scenes/lines more clear in his head... The last ten years he is concentrating on painting.
The underlying theme of his work is emotional neglect and the lack of an identity. The artist strives to show people in their vulnerability
